Unplugged remake and rewrite of a classic Single Heart tune
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Three Hebrew children from long ago
Were taken from their country and living in a foreign land
Where the king decreed that all would bow
But these boys are taking a vow
To the Lord over heaven, the God of Abraham
They would not bow, they would not burn
They would not bend, and they would not turn from Him
Those Hebrew boys, were brave and bold
They wouldn't worship that image of gold
So they bound them up and threw them in a fiery pit
But when the king looked down from his lofty heights
A strange vision filled his sight
There were four men walking unbound in the midst of it
They would not bow, they would not burn
They would not bend, an they would not turn for him
Yeah, that was it
That old king declared that day
That the God of Abraham
Would be worshipped there in Babylon
Praised throughout the land
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Ruled in that kingdom long ago
Princes of the province, rulers in a foreign land
Because they would not bow, they would not burn
They would not bend, and they would not turn for the man
They wouldn't bow down to the man
There may be a fiery furnace waiting down the road
There may be a trial that comes to us
That bears a heavy load
But we don't have to bow or burn or bend along the way
Cause the fourth man in the fire's still in that fire today
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Taught us all a lesson that we need to know
We can stand in the midst of the fire with no concern
We will not bow, we will not burn
We will not bend, and we will not turn
And that's the Word
We will not bow, we will not burn
We will not bend, and we will not turn
And that's it...yeah brother that's the Word
